Way to go 3B! Looking forward to all the words we will investigate this year.
The 3B word scientists investigated the Learner Profile traits to gain a deeper understanding of the word! Watch us as we spell out the word sum, tapping the sounds and identifying the affixes as we spell. Notice what we found out about the etymology of our words. Some of our investigations even lead to more wonderings. "Does <bi> mean two?" "Why does the <c> in 'principled' sound like /s/?" "Why is there a <k> in the word 'knowledgeable'?" Way to go 3B! Looking forward to all the words we will investigate this year.

Congratulations 3B on your wonderful "learner profiles" as investigated and presented through word structure analysis. Great to see all the thinking you did about the history and structure of these words. You certainly are a very know + ledge + able bunch!

I love the pride I see on these faces! I see the same prideful smiles in my classroom! I noticed the pauses when spelling out the word sums - not only between the morphemes, but also between digraphs and other graphemes in the words. Great habits are forming! I look forward to following your progress!

For home learning, write a question you have about the spelling of a word. For example, "Why is there a <k> in the word 'knowledgeable'?" You can write a question about ANY word!

Why is there no W at the end of the word NO? Because it sounds like it is there when you say it.
