Students presented their learning at the Living Museum. The Living Museum was our summative assessment for our unit of inquiry: Where We Are in Place and Time. Each student arrived in costume as a significant person. They presented an iMovie they created on an iPad. They presented a timeline they created on timeline.knightlab.com They each presented a speech AS their significant person. See if you can figure out who everyone presented by their costume! Their speech answered the following questions: - What makes this person significant? - What motivated this person? - What challenges did this person face in life? - How would you describe this person with the learner profile? The students did an AWESOME job! If you could have dinner with a significant person...We made a survey about significant people. The question was “If you could have dinner with a significant person dead or alive who will it be?” In grade 3 we are learning where we are in place and time and it is about significant people and what they did to change the world. We asked grade 3 to 5 students and the teachers. - Maartje and Adi Our Class Reflection
We think the bar graph is the most effective graph for sharing our information. One reason is because we can see the number of votes for each person. Another reason is because we can see everybody’s name clearly. Finally, it shows all the significant people that we put on our survey. Each person’s name is represented. We have learned there are many reasons that different students and teachers voted for different significant people. One reason might be because they don’t know all of the people on our list. Another reason might be because they know a lot about one person, because they researched that person. |
